I feel like an a-hole because this article is very true. However, in our day and age with social media and strong comparisons... The young generation of females struggle to see their own value, self-worth and beauty. Regardless of what youre going through, beauty shouldnt be skin deep. With good intentions, I posted a no-makeup selfie to support cancer but did not take into consideration this perspective. Which, with having lived with my grandma throughout her entire treatment... I should have been able to pick out this argument easily since she was gaunt, frail, and hairless. Although she was a beautiful person inside and out, she probably didnt feel that way. So I apologize to anyone I may have offended. That was not what I intended to do. Your bravery far surpasses any social media trend or bare naked face we may see that pops up on our news feed. We will never personally understand the courage and bravery it takes to conquer such an illness. You are the heroes and the ones who should be splashed all over news feeds. You are the beautiful ones, even if you cant see it... Beauty doesnt need to be seen, it can be felt with by the heart. Sincerest apologies and much love. #cancersurvivorsarewarriors
