I feel like garbage! Actually I do there is a bug going around the house. And when I feel lousy I get reflective, and thank God that usually leads me to gratitude. I am very grateful that on Saturday I will head to Taos for four weeks at the Earthship Academy. This will be the first big step for Foxhole Homes. I am humbled and excited by the possibilities ahead. What we are trying to do is really pretty simple. 1. Make a few earthships to use as rentals (We have a military training base here and people routinely pay thousands per month to stay in tiny hotel rooms) and 2. Use the proceeds from that to build more Earthships for veterans in need. 3. Help these veterans create a community so that they can support one another (I believe that both Earthships and the community of people with similar experience are great tools for healing) 4. If it works replicate it at other military instalations. Over the coming months we will be working on our 501C3 application as well as formalizing our relationship with Earthship Biotecture. I will do my best to keep you all up to date on what is going on.
