I feel like it is my duty to write something encouraging to Ariel - TopicsExpress

I feel like it is my duty to write something encouraging to Ariel every day, even if it is just about some work I did. So I am sure they will not pick up mail today, but I told Mama I was gonna go drop his letter just in case and she says Wait, I will go with you, and so we mailed the letter and then she says lets go by the rent house and we did. The renter seems to be buying mostly new stuff, like knives, forks, spoons, cooking stuff, and trash cans, etc. She had already told me when the shower was turned on, it just sprayed water inside the wall and ran all over the bathroom floor. She was gonna go out of town a few days so I didnt plan to get in a hurry since I need a few days off, but while we were at the house Mama started cleaning and she is a real cleaner, sweeping and mopping and wiping down everything, and always inspiring me to get off my butt and accomplish something. So I went in the bathroom and tore out the wall where the shower pipes go up and exposed the pipe which went from the controls up and it was 1/2 inch pvc except at the top was a rigid threaded 90 degree fitting and the shower parts were screwed into it and then a pvc threaded fitting screwed into the 90 degree fitting that was facing down the wall and then another fitting with male threads was hooked up to a pvc coupling. Now fancy that! The coupling was a slip fitting and my Nigerian is the one hooked it up. Remember I said he put together some pvc under the house and did not use glue? Well he pushed the threaded fitting inside the slip type coupling and of course there was no way it would fit even with piles of glue and prayers. So he just pushed it into the coupling and that is where the leak was. And to think I bought him a brand new tire to go on his truck as a bonus. What an idiot! I dont know if I mean him or me. I guess both of us. Maybe I was the bigger idiot as I just got a leaky pipe and messed up wall and he got a new tire. Huh! He will wear out another whole set of tires before he ever works for me again. But things got better as I had to go home for a hacksaw and some glue and while home this guy who dumps trash in the pit out back, he owed me 3 loads at $150 a load and I used his Bob Cat machine to move a lot of dirt so we settled at he owed me $150 and we were both satisfied. He wanted to bring 2 more loads, one today and one tomorrow and paid me in advance so we wrote the check for $450. and he did bring a load today. Tomorrow will be just sheetrock and likely I will crush it and put it in the driveway at the rent house. We will see how tomorrow comes. This comment sounds like another short story. Working on Christmas day and enjoying doing it. Just saying
