I feel like us girls need to stop trying to put this indirect pressure on ourselves to work hard to atleast impress some random guy who will hopefully find us valuable enough to deem us WIFE-MATRIAL and maybe, just maybe marry us (wife-auditions). The Bible instructs husbands and says Husbands, love your wives as Christ loves the church This is a love not based on merit. Christ doesnt love us because we impressed Him or because of what we bring, He loves us because He in His very nature is good. And Adam (men) were the first offspring of God the Father, formed in His likeness. That is why this 50/50 gospel being preached in modern society fails everytime. When Boaz saw Ruth and showered her with gifts, he did so not because she was trying to impress him or be affirmed by him, but because she had developed a relationship with God so strong, that He made her presence impressive to anyone who came into direct and indirect contact with her. Her spirit, her being was self suffient and God-sufficient to qualify her to be His wife.
