I feel that its important to dream in order to realize what of your current situation is working well and what is not. Ive realized that continuing to do things in the same manner only for the sole reason of them being the way that I have always been doing things is never going to optimize my future potential. Being back in my studio for the first few days of this year have seen me cleaning the clutter thats built over time and also diving into and questioning my current and future workflow. Ive come to the conclusion that there will be a few big changes for me in 2015. The most radical shift is my desire to switch DAWs (the computer based program my studio revolves around) from Logic to Bitwig. Ive been producing music in Logic for 9 years now, so this will be a big departure from my comfort zone. Also, Ill be returning to use CDJs for my DJ performances so that I can separately begin developing a new and exciting live show. Ill also be selling off some of my dormant studio gear Im not using in order to make room for a few new exciting pieces that will see more frequent and more relevant use. I cant thank you enough for your support over these past few years, and I cant wait to see what these new changes and self-imposed shifts from comfort inspire! New music is coming very, very soon!
