I felt I needed to repost this to help us guard against spirits that will destroy us. Pro. 21:23. Whoso keeperth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from trouble. You will never read a scripture that will save you from a life of misery as important as this one. All the trouble that I have ever had in this life was a result of me not controlling my mouth. It so easy to make statements that will later cause us grief. You can recognize when your about to say something that you should not say when your statement begins with these words. Well if you want to know what I think about it. Look out, your mouth is about to get you in trouble. Ive had people say, I just speak my mind. Thats dangerous. Then Ive had them say, I dont know why I said that or that just slipped out. Then the famous one thats said when a curse word comes out, (oops) I didnt mean to say that. The bible says, From the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh. If gossip, anger and profanity comes out of your mouth, it is a direct result of something wrong with your heart. Mouth trouble is a symptom of heart trouble. If heart trouble is not taken care of it will bring spiritual death. How many people have been destroyed because someone couldnt keep their mouth shut. If you are around people that continually run people down, you owe it to them to say, Id rather not hear that. If they continue, tell them, my ear is not a garbage can. I refuse to let people spew their venom in my ear, that could get in my heart. The bible says, Receive not an accusation against a brother without 2 or 3 wittiness. When you do this, you will guard against these gossiping spirits getting ahold of you. It might help the person thats talking to you to correct their ways. Lets for our souls sake, make up our minds today to watch every word that comes out of our mouth. You will be a lot happier and have a whole lot less trouble.
