Crush in Council Chamber At tonights meeting of City Coucil the entire police force, including Chief ??son and Sergeant John Graham, tendered their resignations to take effect January 16. Their successors were immediately named, Frank Goan being being picked for captain and Joseph Gallagher for sergeant. The outgoing force are all Republicans while the incoming ones are all Democrats. The crush at the Council chamber was tremendous, persons sitting in doorways and window sills. The railing doors dividing the chamber broke and had it not been for the prompt action of ????? several persons would have been seriously hurt in the confusion that ensued.
