I find it interesting that when casualties are reported in Israel - TopicsExpress

I find it interesting that when casualties are reported in Israel it is divided into Soldiers and Israelis but when it is in Gaza it is Palestinians or Civilians. The implications are that Israelis are either soldiers or targets but not civilians and that casualties in Gaza are civilians. Oddly- some Arab media sources have made a point of stating that most of the casualties in Gaza have been young men and some like the Egyptian media and Al Jazera have gone so far as to say that they are, for the most part, militants/terrorists. Oddly enough, the western media will NOT go there and the UN is saying that the bulk of the deaths are children. Wording is very important. In the west, soldiers die, and thats acceptable. So- its acceptable for Israeli deaths, but not for Gazans. The double standard is grating at times.
