“I find that’s a big hold up,” Foley says, “that artists don’t know how to talk about the work with the person sitting across from them during a review.” He adds that some photographers “look dumbfounded when you ask them a seemingly obvious question, because they haven’t thought the work through. Or they think the work is finished, they just need to place it somewhere.
