I find the assertion that the state of Israel is protecting the Jewish people, or even acting to protect the interests of the Jewish people, a position I hear from certain Right-Wing Neo-Zionists and even some very misguided Leftists downright laughable. This is an article that was published a while ago in Denmark. Ulla Jessing is a holocaust-survivor, both her parents died in Auschwitz. She supports the struggle of the Palestinians, and for that, the state of Israel has blacklisted her. She is unable to send emails to her family in Tel-Aviv anymore. The state of Israel is a nationalist, Right-Wing Neo-Zionist state which anyone even half-way decent would be ashamed to be linked to. It has nothing to do with protecting the Jewish people, and it is a far cry from classical Labor Zionism and Jewish radicalism. [E]
