I find these stories tend to lack good research. I just posted a BUNCH of it in the national group. Fact is Treaty 8, 10 6 and 4 are represented thus far....as well - Membertou FN on the eastern shore and pre-confederate Treaty did not sign. I know there are others. And we anticipate others will be making announcements in the next week. Ladies, Gentlemen - me thinks we got a trend...I pray this is what sets the dominoes in motion.... “It’s legalized extortion and I said that last year – state-sanctioned extortion of their policy, either you sign or you starve,” Fox said. The First Nations say they are willing to make do without the funding rather than comply with what they say are regulations that violate treaty rights.
