I flew to Dallas when we moved, so I had no car. My family shifted cars around so that I would have access to a car that would get me safely between Texarkana and Dallas often. Eventually, my cousin Jabari Cranford delivered me one of his cars (which was actually given to him by his brother, my cousin Kedric Cranford)...and had his son clean it for me. My sister LaNeesa Cornelius insured the vehicle and my cousin Marilynn Johnson paid for all of the fees associated with getting it road ready. One day, it wouldnt start. My cousin Estraia Starr Banks happened to be in Dallas and she taxi cabbed me around, even tho she had plans for the day. Yesterday, Jabari, a truck driver who is thousands of miles away, called to tell me he had arranged for his cousin from the other side of his family to come look at the car. I noticed the car was gone today, so I called his cousin, who confirmed that he had towed the car to his home, replaced the battery and patched the radiator FOR FREE. I want to reiterate...I come from prime stock. My family is the bomb and I was raised by and with exceptional men. I dont hate men, people. I hate sorry ass men...because I KNOW BETTER.
