I fumble with keys in my hand n finds the right key for this - TopicsExpress

I fumble with keys in my hand n finds the right key for this future apartment. Though rusty n seemingly famished, the key finds itself in the keyhole. One more turn the key cooperates n within no time, I am inside. The door closes rudely behind me with a click. The illuminating light too weak for my big round shaped eyes to get accustomed to. I strain n restrain myself from stumbling. Standing still, I start taking stock. The dilapitated roof stares at me in dismay, not long the two mulnoureshed rats hot in persuit, probably male n female cross n settle to one corner n start mounting each other but due to little strength left in them, they decide to stare at each other with lust n steal glances at me their only visitor. Mating, the only option left for these poor creatures, is once more determined by fate. Fate in that they have no strenght to rise to the occasion. As I am left wondering, the cockroach infront of me makes a weak mockery dance n finally settles on my long term friend n companion_ the shoe. Infact I have no knowledge as to when I had last brushed it. The gimmicks of these poor souls leave me in awesome wonder n try to liken them to our potbellied corrupt neighbour who had just found his way to parliament the other day n nowdays drives fancy cars. No this must be a dream! Realizing that I have not found the future, I storm out of the apartment. Before I realise, I crush the cockroach which had been perching on my shoe, hence killing it instantly! In haste to define my future, I have ceremoniously ended another creatures future. They call it survival for the fittest? How many more creatures are going to be sacrificed before my future is determined?
