I get alot of comments about the hat I wear, so I will explain it a bit, on the front shows my retired rank of Chief Warrant Officer 3, my Command ashore pin I earned while serving as Commanding Officer of Undersea Mine Unit 12 in Misawa Japan, the Enlisted Surface warfare specialist pin I earned while onboard the USS Mahan DDG 42, my motto of MOLEN LABE, or come take them in Spartan, on the left side is the three highest medals I received, the Meritorious Service medal (4) awards, the Navy Commendation medal (6) awards, the Navy Achievement medal (4) awards, My last Enlisted rank of GMCS or Senior chief (E8) and my specialty of Gunners Mate, on the back is dedicated to my Uncle Mike who is now passed, has a buffalo head nickle with a silver eagle feather and his unit in Vietnam where he served 2 tours, the yellow patch is when I was stationed at the Vertical Launch Program office (Washington DC) and served under Rear Admiral KK Paige as her Command Senior Enlisted advisor, on the left side is my Naval Officer pin, and my USO pin for my volunteer service as Mayor of a 900 unit Military housing Command, if youve ever heard the song (this cowboys hat) I made this one not to show off anything, but to remind myself of what Ive sacrificed and where I came from...
