I got stuff to do before I get off here and head to church, thank GOD my eye is barely puffy. I dont normally do this but I was scrolling through my news feed I was appalled at some of the sermon title these preachers had. Whatever happened to JESUS...when did he leave the Church??? What ever happened to the MAKING OF A SERMON, Homiletics, shoot what happened to hearing from the Lord...If preaching is the spoken communication of a divine revelation with a view to persuade...WHO ARE YOU PERSUADING with that stuff coming out of your flesh because it sounds catchy...Folks want to get well, keep there lights on, have family time, not have to worry about their door getting kicked in or their children being abducted, they need a life changing word not a face book status.... COME ON BROTHERS AND SISTERS...Preach the word in season and out of season, let it be biblical, life changing , relevant and if by chance it is catchy ...so be it...but I promise you some folks make you want to shake your head...Preaching with no power and no study time...and calling it divine revelation...Jesus help us.
