I got this on my wall today from a friend with the msg, Michelle, what do you think...I think he makes a good point and is TRYING to keep the issues separate like you do. My response was, Michelle Michaels Disclaimer - I LOVE Reza Aslan! Been a huge fan of his since he shut down the entire set of Fox news. Also, his book is fantastic! *I completely agree with what Reza says. This is the exact point I am always trying to make but ppl dont ever understand. They take 2 or 3 countries and act like thats the entire Muslim world, when in fact, it is FAR from it. The majority of Muslims are peaceful and for equality. What the news does is show ONLY the extremists and then ask-well where are the moderates? The moderates are everywhere! They just know that the moderates wont catch the attn of the viewer like a crazy asshole beheading s/o will. I also agree that (and have said a million times) that what we blame Muslims for and call atrocities are no different than the BS in any other religion. RELIGION is the problem. Moving away from it in our public lives would help leaps and bounds-Id prefer it be gone completely, but Im being realistic. I thought on Bill Mahrs show he made good points (better than that douche bag of political correctness, Ben Affleck) but again, its that sweeping brush. There are far more peaceful religious ppl than radical, but that wouldnt be exciting news. Now, thats whats really being lost here and thats truly sad. I dont want a debate here, I was just curious if ppl could see the point being made. That one is NOT all. I already gave my opinion, this is all on you guys now. FYI, conservatives, you would have been cheering on Mahr the other night, if you missed it, watch....
