I grew up, got married and now finally Ive achieved a milestone of owning a home together with my beloved partner. But what I would give to have again is the time when my family and I lived together under one roof. Although we werent well off and could barely get through the days and we were the weird family everyone deemed as a bad example as we had irregular sleeping times, we didnt attend school regularly like other kids did, we were never the good students in school and had nothing to make our parents proud, there was always some kind of happiness, laughter, joy and even sadness that reminded us that were a family and that bond is irreplaceable. We were close with our parents on a level that not many parents and children were able to achieve. We talk about anything and everything under the sun. We laugh about the good times, we make fun of the bad times, we cry together, we went through everything together. Yes we were and are nowhere near a normal family due to our weird living styles and life choices, but I am still happy and proud that you guys are my family and no words or anyone can ever replace that. Although we are not the best model family society deems we should be, we have the bond, love, values, character, abilities and things some normal and rich people or families will NEVER understand or have no matter the amount of money or success they have. And from what I see, we turned out better than some kids from those normal family in terms of being a human altogether. Manners, language ability, street smart, and some grammar. Some of them cant even get a decent sentence right while even though we werent the top in class we scored well in compositions. I still remember Anthony Impression Lim coming home with a relatively high scored composition that we were so proud of and totally enjoyed and till today I still enjoy reading some of his more profoundly typed facebook statuses.
