I grew up with my father and uncles in my life. And I discovered - TopicsExpress

I grew up with my father and uncles in my life. And I discovered an interesting thing: Men love differently than women. But its still love, just manifested in a masculine form. The problem in American society is that we tend to think a mothers love is the epitome of all love. But its not. God expressed the ultimate love in the form of a Father and a Son. Those are masculine terms. When I was younger and would get locked up every now and then (I wasnt always a FB writer you know), my mother would do everything she could to get me out of jail. My father was different. He would leave me in there for a while, just to teach me a lesson. My mom didnt appreciate that, and she along with my aunts would eventually prevail on him to get me out. But his purpose was to teach me responsibility for my actions. Thats what a mans love requires. Too many church folk confuse the love of God with feminine expressions only. And it clouds their ability to grasp the more masculine expressions of the Father and The Sons love. God requires accountability. Its why hell is just as full as heaven is. Where theres no accountability, anarchy reigns. And thats why we have so much confusion in the church, home and especially the black community today. We dont stress accountability enough. We only focus on personal feelings and emotional appeals. Until we get back to men taking the lead, we will continue to wallow in community dysfunction. Our homes will stay broken and our churches will keep on playing church rather than being the church. I dont pretend to have all the answers. Im just thinking out loud like I often do. But if enough of us get on the same page, we can make some amazing things happen fast. God bless.
