I had a Direct Energy sales rep at my door yesterday. He was telling me, if I had their pink Direct Energy bill, it meant it hasnt been updated yet and once I have been updated I will receive a blue bill. I am aware that the pink bill and blue bill are from two different energy companies with the same name and he was actually asking me to switch from the pink bill company to the their blue one. He also guaranteed me that if I switched, I would be getting a substantial savings on my bill. Even after I showed him that I was already signed up with his blue bill company and showed him the bill, he continued to insist that I should sign as a new account. I asked for his ID but he refused to provide one so I sent him on his way. I called Direct Energy to report this incident. They say there has been numerous complaints about the people they hired to go door to door and he should have provided me with his ID. None of the previous comments he told me were true. Should I be considering a switch to a new energy supplier and which one is best?
