I had a bad experience with my first generation nook. I brought it to the drs . I was depending on it with a two hour wait.I turned it on and I got blue letters across the bottom installing updates , then returning to factory settings . When it was over, I had an empty Nook and needed WIFi with a command to register my Nook. All without any warning. When I got home , I called the 800 number, the only option for my model is online. I am online and I am not getting any assistance. I am waiting 45 minutes. Suddenly my totally blank library is filling , once again.I have to redownload all the books I own. All bookmarks are gone.I had to set up the whole Nook from scratch. While in the doctors office, I had to read a June Time magazine. I read it from cover to cover. The Barnes and Noble people get horribly failing marks for customer service. I recommend for new people to try Kindle , next time.
