I had a discussion with a close friend and have come to realize that educators, child care providers, coaches, mentors, counselors, and school administrators are unappreciated by the majority of parents....lets look at it like this..when you PAY for a service....dental, medical, mechanic, grocery clerk, lawn maintenance, restaurant, etc. you PAY and then say Thank you but the people that teach your child, clean your childs noses and bottoms, calm them when they have a bad day, give them the emotional support parents sometimes are too busy to give, take all the attitude they really wanna give to parents but are afraid, wait all night with them while parents take their time picking them up from practice, buy them or give them extra of whatever they need because parents cant afford it or just choose not to buy it, take them on trips they may never get the opportunity to go on, encourage them, nurture them, and so much more....these people cant get a simple thank you because some people feel as though they dont deserve it because thats what youre there for...yet when they are unhappy the world knows about it because they will yell scream send emails and complain to anyone whod listen....try and treat the ones who you entrust with your children with a little more respect because regardless to what they are paid for they do more than they are required to do #educatormoment #IdoItForTheKids #dobetter #saythankyou
