I had a great conversation with a great friend of mine that actually knows me and know what I am about. We feel the same of what has happened to a community we call Cape Verdean community. I was right before but I am more afraid of what is to come then ever before. The things that our young people are into have created another bracket or chart that never existed or were recorded before. I am in shock of the everyday stories that I am hearing. The Cape Verdean community with the lack of leadership in the homes and community leadership have lost their way. In Cabo verde officials are afraid of drug traffickers and the mob to the extinct that they are retiring and leaving to live in other countries fearing they will be executed. The moral values are no longer valued and suicides are in the increase. Our politicians are on the take. The only thing that is worth going back for are the landscapes and the blue Atlantic Ocean that surround the islands. Tonight Ramadan begins and I will be facing Mecca asking Allah to give me the strength, discipline, and patience to deal with the plague that have covered our planet. Allah u Akbar!
