I had a reminder of why I do enjoy living in town. Sophie had 2 friends stay over this weekend and it was nice to have the house full of energy...they listened in awe as I told them about all the fun Bubby and the gang had at their age and through the years... The purse fishing...including one officer who thank God had a sense of humor...dressing as the elderly then crossing the road- only to stop and start dancing in the middle of the intersection...ding dong ditching...ding dong with a bullhorn...the infamous visqueen plastic with cooking oil and water at tower hill one rainy Sunday...bonfires...Halloween haunted yard...prank calls to sing Bohemian Rhapsody in its entirety - and the victim would be laughing the whole time....80s themed bday party complete with town wide scavenger hunt..first timers to Rocky Horror Picture Show....the mornings where I couldnt even walk through the living room because there was so many bodies... It was nice to reminisce and to see the twinkle in the girls eyes as they think of ways to out do the legends of this town ;) Im a small town Mom...and even though I do hesitate now more with my daughters freedoms thanks to the world we live in-- Im still so happy to see her with her friends making memories... To quote Stand By Me... I never had any friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone ...
