I had a short cab ride yesterday. The driver was a talkative type and filled me in on a lot of things about his life in the few minutes I was in his cab. The most alarming thing he said was just before I got out. He is Italian-Canadian, has a thick accent though his English was fine. After he told me about his family and the trips hes taken, places hes been, he started going on about immigration and the Canadian youth who went to fight in the current jihad. Then he told me about one night a man and a woman desperately flagged him down, they had been running and needed to get away. A group of men had started to beat the woman because she was muslim and wasnt covered. He asked them why they didnt go to the police and they said it would only make it worse. This was as I was digging coins out of my purse. I wonder how often this sharia type stuff occurs in Toronto and we never hear about it.
