I had an amazing opportunity to talk to one of our nurses this morning who is Jewish. I felt led to pray with her about Israel and when I asked her if she would like to pray I wanted to meet her on her level. So I asked if she could pray in Hebrew, she smiled and said well I cant. I asked her what she meant and she said well I cant speak Hebrew I read my prayers from the Torah. And usually its led by our Rabbi. I asked then how to you pray by yourself when your alone? She said she didnt know how! My heart broke, and I realized in an instant why Jesus needed to save us. Turns out she was raised Christian and converted. She admitted that that was one of the things she felt was missing in her life was a personal relationship with God. I shared with her that I have been studying a lot about Gods message in the Torah about Jesus and how all of the jewish customs are dress rehearsals for the Messiah. She was very impressed with my knowledge of Judaism and said that I knew more than her. I shared with her Ephesians 2 Therefore, remember that formerly you who are Gentiles by birth and called “uncircumcised” by those who call themselves “the circumcision” (which is done in the body by human hands)— remember that at that time you were separate from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For he himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, by setting aside in his flesh the law with its commands and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new humanity out of the two, thus making peace, (Ephesians 2:11-15 NIV)
