I had an appointment with a new primary care doctor today. All was Okay until they told me there was a problem with the transfer from the old primary care to the new. They told me I could pay if I wanted and try to work it out with the ins co after. They could NOT give me any idea of the cost of the visit. THAT is one of the problems with health care in the US. I do not know of any provision in Obamacare to be able to tell patients how much a visit will cost before the visit. Would you order a dinner at a restaurant not knowing if it is $25 or $200?
