I had an epiphany while I was on holidays. Maybe it was when I was short of breathe walking up the trail at Morialta Falls or it could have been when I thought I was having a heart attack going up the stairs to the Big Cave. Either way a light turned on (eventually). Yes I will admit 35 years of being a pack a day smoker (usually up too 70 per day before I quit in December 2009) have really taken its toll on me. I was diagnosed with mild emphysema in 2008 and it didnt stop me. That and the massive weight gain after 3 shoulder operations and one knee operation in 4 years have made me stop and rethink a few things. I have decided to embarrass myself into dropping some weight and trying to get fitter. So here goes....my weight as at 4pm on Saturday was 119.7kg. I will post my weight again on Saturday or Sunday each week and see what happens. Fingers crossed it all works out!
