Thank you Connie Pierce for writing this. It explains a Lyme patient very well. Friends and family please read. Just because I push doesnt mean I am well. Never have been. Now I am getting worse it happens. Either you will understand and except it or you dont. Connie wrote, It was brought to my attention that people do not really know how someone with Lyme feels on a daily basis. I must say you will never know unless you get Lyme disease but I am going to try to explain. Almost everyday a person with Lyme feels like they have the worse case of the flu ever...with the body aches and weakness and fatigue. Try to remember the last time you had the flu and this is how we feel daily and most days a lot worse than that. Some days are worse than others. Now add on top of that symptoms that come and go. Such as...joint pain, muscle pain and aches, muscle spasms, headaches, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, brain fog, skin sensitivity and pain, internal vibrations, tremors. Involuntary muscle spasms, shaky, seizures, tinnitus, sensitivity to light and sounds, paralysis, numbness, tingling, bladder issues, heart issues such as palpitations, Lyme carditis, elevated BP, elevated pulse, weight gain, weight loss, muscle wasting, insomnia, depression, anxiety, multiple stomach issues, bladder issues, issues with just about every organ in the body and so many more symptoms. The meds we are trying to take make us feel really bad most times because of something called die off and the toxins it leaves in your body. Detoxing is very important. I have suffered from all of these at one point or other and sometimes multiples in one day except for seizures, Lyme carditis, paralysis. Some days are a challenge to get out of bed and some days are days that we can push through, but u can bet that almost everyday there is a smile on my face when someone comes for a visit or I see you in public. We get very good at hiding our symptoms and smiling even though we may feel like we are dying inside. For those of you that care, I hope this somewhat gives you an idea of our daily struggles. Sorry for the long post! God Bless all of you.
