I had some time in the waiting room to read the large book about how Baptist Hospital began. A minister with the last name of Angell was part of the beginnings. Good name! I worked in Overseas Hospital that later became Mariners. I knew a lot of the doctors. I saw a picture in there of Dr. Ross as well. We were blessed to have all those doctors. In the book it tells about the financial problems and how it almost turned into a nursing home. Dr. Johnson, Dr. Cott, Dr. Stewart, Dr. Setnor, Dr. Bond and Dr. Levine who was the first owner. Mrs. Leavitt was director of nurses. Donna Sprunt taught me and worked there. I have more names and good memories. Very interesting book.
