I had the privilege of spending about 3 hours today with Asher Milliken (my youngest grandchild). I dont know why, but he loves to come and visit me. I live in a retirement community and there is a common room downstairs that we old folks like to play board games and gather......I was scheduled to play board games with a few of my friends today and I took Asher with me....of course, he was the center of attention and everyone wanted to talk to him (and I wanted to show him off too)......he walked right over and sat with an older gentleman that was putting a model motorcycle together. He sat down next to him and was mesmerized by what he was doing. Usually Asher is shy, but he was talking to this man and I walked over to them and introduced Asher to Lloyd. He asked me if it was alright if he could sit with Lloyd and share his snack he brought from my apartment. We asked Lloyd and he was so excited that Asher sat there. Later, Lloyd came over to me and told me that of all the time he lived there ~ there was not one little child that visited that was as polite and nice and Asher was. They definitely had a special connection! He even told Lloyd about the time he asked Jesus into his heart! That opened a whole dialogue about Christianity and how Asher was such a good boy.....goodness, he is only 4!! I was so proud of him. Just had to share!
