I hate Anushka sharmas lips. I dont judge by appearance nor am I shallow enough to dislike a person for how they look, but I dont like her lips. Its probably just me. But I do love Aamirs smile. Cute and mischievous. The movie is not rocket science,it doesnt have the dark& deep meanings that Haider had.It is not a mindless sleek flick like Dhoom 3. Its not big-budget-lots-of-extras-glittery-songs kind of movie. Its a (here I go into the cliche) simple tale told in an extraordinary way. Is it the best movie I have seen till date? No. Did it touch a chord like never before? Yes. Boman Irani rightly observes - you dont mess with religion. For one, your opinions will never be considered neutral - You are either born into a religion or you are converted to one. If you are a self-declared atheist -how can your opinion on something that you dont believe in be counted? Its the brilliance of Raju Hirani to bring in a genuinely third party perspective on religion, someone who does not understand what god is. How brilliantly Watsony is that? THAT is the success of the movie.I am a Hindu and I believe in my gods, but I never once felt offended by PKs view on the subject. Simply because,he has no view. He was just thinking out aloud based on what he saw. He simply holds a mirror to us and tells us what he sees. I vividly remember sitting with my family watching chitrahaar on DD when Aamir crooned Paapa kehte hai. Couple of years later, the movie came on DD yet again on a Sunday evening and I fell in love all over again with the smile. 25 years later, the smile still gives me jitters. The highlight of PK is that smile.Watch it for that smile It actually totally made me forget Anushkas lips :-)
