I hate Jack-in-the-Boxs stoner glorifying commercials so much that I felt compelled to inform their targeted generation about a few milestones in Jack-in-the-Box history. In 1993, Jack-in-the-Box served up something a little extra with their hamburgers: E. coli O157:H7 bacteria. 4 children died and 600 others were reported sick after eating bacteria-laden burger patties contaminated with fecal matter. In 1981, horse meat labeled as beef was discovered at a plant that supplied hamburger and taco meat to Jack-in-the-Box. The meat was originally from Australia, and during their checks on location, food inspectors discovered other shipments destined for the United States which included kangaroo meat, as well. Still got the munchies for Jack-in-the-Box?
