I have a five hour wait on the other side of the gate in San Diego Airport. I love San Diego, would rather have known that I would be delayed but no problem, Apple is giving away games and apps so I will be busy, just thinking oh joy, 4 hours and five hours ... long time sitting down. San Diego I call the land of the flip-flops, things that change color in the sun and diversity. Today is a cloudy day which is rare here. I learned that the Mormons held down as the troops when America first took San Diego. That was not in our history books. Take a look at the first mayor of San Diego, kind of a very multicultural place from the beginning. I was attending the ESRI Conference , first the small educational conference and then the HUGE Esri conference. There were so many jobs to be had, so much personal instruction to gain face to face, and the Map exhibits were outstanding. The personnel were helpful and friendly not condescending as they can be in some conferences. I did a tour of Old Town, the Museum of Torture ( ugh), the Japanese Garden, and lots of great eating places in Coronado. We came a day early to be able to see things and not feel guilty for missing anything. Well , now to the downloading of free games and apps from Apple.
