I have a hidden piece of Oasis history to share with you guys regarding the first time The Hindu Times was played to the public. In 2002 a Norwegian radio station played the song as a world premier before anyone else. The DJ was Rune Nilson. The story goes that the song was actually supposed to air on BBC first under a special deal later that day, but the record company gave this radio station permission as well for earlier, unaware of the conflict with BBC. I was up and online that night (I think it was 3AM or 4AM in Seattle at the time) and I recorded and leaked the song instantly as soon as I found out it was about to air. The MP3 leak made the news on NME and BBC. I kept a printout of all of the news stories, and Rune was kind enough to send me the actual CD-R the song was played from that night, with a signed letter... the world premier of The Hindu Times.
