I have a lot of Christian friends. Ok, not a lot, but I have several Christian friends. Real Christian friends. Theyre wonderful people, and Im lucky to know them, to have them in my life, and to have their input into various situations, regardless of our differing opinions on various religious standpoints. Decency isnt confined or constrained by ones belief system, even if some do make it easier to pardon a lack of decency. That being said, the funniest thing about all of it is that we share SO MANY of the same beliefs, with the exception of religion. We all like to help the poor. We all feel empathy towards those who are less fortunate. We all see tragedy and immediately wonder what we can do to help (although prayer is not an option for me), and we try as hard as we can not to judge other people, as none of us are perfect. Were good people who consider integrity to be a top ten trait to have, and always try to do the right thing, even when no one is watching. Were basically almost exactly the same as human beings. Except Im the only one whos going to Hell. :(
