I have a worse streak going than the Houston Texans! They may have an eight game losing streak, but my streak of not finding a perfect or even near perfect prehistoric projectile point extends back to my trip to Wyoming and Colorado the week of Labor Day. I went to the lake today to try to break my losing streak, but my streak remains intact. I did find a few flakes that prehistoric people worked and used, but no projectile points and no prehistoric artifacts worthy of framing. The dogs had fun however, romping and running through the water and up and down the beach. It was a beautiful day with enough chill in the air to bring an occasional shiver. After going through a brutal hot time summer in the city in Houston, it was a welcome change. Photos include the dogs romping through the water and running up the beach, a nice engraver, and a large chunk of chert the prehistoric inhabitants of the area used as a scraper or chopper. Maybe next time for that perfect projectile point. ;)
