I have an ENORMOUS thank you to send out to some fabulous people! Last Friday (April 25) the Standardbred Owners Association at The Meadows Racetrack and Casino in Washington, PA hosted an evening of racing in honor of Autism Awareness Month. The event was coordinated by the Meadows Standardbred Owners Association Director Brad Buxton, the MSOA Public Relations Director Heather Wilder, and a very dear friend of mine, John Olshefski. John and his wonderful wife, Jenn are the founders of a non-profit foundation based in Mountain Top, PA, called the Liv With Autism Foundation. The Foundation helps improve the lives of those living with autism by guiding families through the maze of available information, helping people on the spectrum find employment and coordinating social events and support groups for individuals with autism and their loved ones. The event was fabulous. We had great food, great company and a lot of fun betting on the races all whilst listening to John and Jenns daughter Olivia sing some amazing songs! The MSOA generously donated its commission from the eighth race of the evening to autism awareness. Jenn and John Olshefski wanted the donation to stay here in the Western Pennsylvania area so they, in turn, kindly asked that the donation be directed to Autism Atlas!! I can’t thank the MSOA, the Olshefski Family and the Liv With Autism Foundation enough for their kindness. It was amazing to see and hear the Autism Atlas name at such a great event! We are still in our infancy as a non-profit but with their help, we are one step closer to achieving our dream of Autism Acceptance! Check out this video of John Olshefski talking about the Liv With Autism Foundation and the event and then check out the photographs of the event! https://youtube/watch?v=nY8ZbYl83gM Feature: Liv With Autism Stables John Olshefski John Olshefski talks about the Liv With...
