I have an announcement to make. While I would love to be able to make this grand announcement at Julys Althua, Ive realized that it would not really leave very much time for people to take advantage of my announcement, so here it is. I am starting a HotB LARP down here in Tucson! I have no intention of drawing interest away from the Pheonix group, but I have talked to MANY many people down here who have said pretty plainly that they would LARP if it werent a two hour drive away. With that in mind, I know that there are some hard-core gamers who dont mind the two hour drive, so Im making sure everyone in the Phoenix group is aware of what were doing, and if you want to be invited into the Tucson Blood and Tears group when I get it set up, just like this post or speak up. Id like to use some of the same house rules that Mike and Charlotte have been using as long as they dont mind, but the setting is going to be a clean slate without the separated houses (Back to the old House structure) so unfortunately, Phoenix characters wont be able to transfer over, and old LARP characters will not have the legacy that they had in the Phoenix LARP. I want my Tucson players to feel like its their own LARP, and if you choose to join us, then that ownership extends to you too :) If I dont get to see people in July when I (hopefully) make it up for one last Phoenix LARP, I hope I get to see people in Tucson! The first LARP will be in August on the 3rd, at Hats Games on Alvernon and 29th street. I will be running the game every first Sunday to make sure the Phoenix LARP and the Tucson LARP wont conflict with each other.
