I have an enormous amount of friends in the healthcare industry in various roles....I would like my close friends to weigh in on this.....how many of you find it professional, ethical or mature to refer to any of your patients or anyone you have provided any measure of treatment to as a crazy individual.....I know the friends I attended nursing school with are compassionate, empathetic, caring and are very much dedicated to providing superior bedside manner and top notch patient care....I know this because we were taught to do so by very well qualified nursing instructors such as Linda Stirk! Nursing as well as any other health care profession requires us to advocate for our patients...at no time should we judge them or belittle them. If this occurs perhaps its time for a change of career or self assessment. For clarification just see some negative things go around and its frustrating when its coming from young ones who havent completed college yet however are showing these negative trends related to patient care .....any thoughts?Tracey Rhodes Carroll, Becky Ellis.....
