I have been appointed as A Global Youth Ambassador for the World at School. Below is the email send to me. Dear Mr. Modou C Nyang Congratulations! You are hereby appointed as A World At School Global Youth Ambassador. We are thrilled to have you join this global movement of young leaders working to get every child in school and learning. Your appointment as Ambassador will last one year, from April 1, 2014 until March 31, 2015. At that time, you can apply to extend your role for another year if you continue to meet the criteria (including your conduct during the first year). Were excited to tell the world about the great work you are doing. On April 10th, A World at School, in collaboration with the Office of the UN Special Envoy for Global Education and leading civil society organizations will host a daylong 2015 Countdown Summit in Washington DC with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon. At this event we will announce the Global Youth Ambassador programme and develop a strong, shared plan of action to ensure we are strategically moving towards breaking down key obstacles to access and learning for the most marginalized. Afterwards we will be sharing that plan with you which will be a blueprint for our collective advocacy efforts in the next year. Stay tuned for a social media hotsheet for this event! As a Global Youth Ambassador, you have committed to speak up and take action for education in your community. You represent not only yourself and your organization, but also our movement and your fellow ambassadors around the world. It is critical that you bear this in mind in the conduct of your activities-online and in your community. With your passion, commitment and leadership, we are confident that together, we can indeed make the dream of education a reality. Yours Sincerely Sarah Brown President World at School.
