I have been around a fair bit of death and dying lately, lots of cancer, and it is sometimes very intense for all involved including the medical staff. I know this from my experience coaching, from the place of a friend, and from my own family life. I have noticed a few things; 1) Silence is golden and can be very refreshing when we just breath through the quiet times with each other. 2) Small talk is necessary from time to time to balance the intensity of all the important medical talk. 3) Cracking a joke and inviting some humour in is a great thing to do. 4) Remember to live as fully as possible while dealing with the illness. 5) Let your love be known and felt. Finally and most importantly 6) Keep the person first and foremost in your heart and mind always place them ahead of their illness. Much Love Stephen
