I have been challenged by Shirley Larsen Mcleod to post my favorite scripture....That is kind of hard since I have a lot of favorite scriptures...The scriptures I am posting are some of the ones I have used the most in counseling with people.... 1 Peter 5:6-8 Amplified Bible (AMP) 6 Therefore humble yourselves [demote, lower yourselves in your own estimation] under the mighty hand of God, that in due time He may exalt you,... **People have different ideas about humbling ourselves but the next verse tells us how to do it**. 7 CASTING the [a]WHOLE of your care [ALL your anxieties, ALL your worries, ALL your concerns, [b]***ONCE AND FOR ALL**ON HIM, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you [c]watchfully. **Casting is like taking a baseball into a field of high weeds and throwing it as far as you can so you can never find it ...You shouldnt go looking for it anyway. ***The next verse is what happens when we dont CAST everything over on the Lord... 8 Be well balanced (temperate, sober of mind), be vigilant and cautious at all times; for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring [[d]in fierce hunger], seeking someone to seize upon and devour. ***DONT ALLOW satan to come into your MIND,,,,, CAST THOSE CARES over on the LORD... ***When satan tries to bring up...to you... anything you have already given to Father God....tell satan YOU DONT HAVE IT...and go talk to Father God about it..... REMEMBER...satan is a liar and the father of lies...the truth is not in him...he cant speak truth. BE BLESSED Rick
