I have been compelled for a few days to write this letter to you, yes you. I know I dont know you, but God knows you, and you know Him, and this letter will bear witness that He is speaking to you. At first glance when God began to speak to me, about writing this to you, I thought it would be to my single sistas, and then He spoke to me, about my brothers too. Today as I sit, I think of all the believers who are single, and now, even those who are in a marriage without a spouse, but He spoke to me to speak to all singles. All those who feel single. Now to me, single can be: 1. those never married, 2. those who are divorced, 3. the widowed, 4 the abandoned.... He simply says: Be Not Deceived I was noticing a woman over the past 3 months go from being single to in a relationship, to devastated.... and seeing all the signs, I began to become her secret prayer warrior, making intercessions for her. I seen her go from a homebody to being unbelievably in love. Somewhere during the course of between the 2nd and 3rd month, the excitement waned down, the doubts and suspicions begin to arise. She began to question herself again.... we as women always question ourselves, when the relationship changes, most times changing without notice but always with a warning. It doesnt matter if the woman, the man is black, white, American, Chinese, African, Mexican... deception comes to us all. I have talked to women AND men of all races and backgrounds who have been the victim. Men deceiving women, women deceiving men, men deceiving men and women deceiving women. Enough is enough. People fronting to be someone they are NOT. Working on a job that no one on that job knows you exist. living lives that is only in their dream. Deceiving people about their age, marital status, health status, parental status, religion, DECEIVERS, LIARS and CONS. For the most part, they know what to say, how to say it and when to say it. Its as if they took a class: Deception 101. One thing we fail to realize, that once that first lie has been spoken, one must continue the cycle, until somebody realizes something just aint right, and declares enough is enough! Most deceivers, online predators are one of several people: Married Single In a relationship (but still looking) Here are some identifiers to spot for a deceiver. What they may say or do. 1. Tell you to call them ONLY between ____ and ____ oclock 2. Tell you they are waiting on their divorce to become final... when they never filed. 3. Prefers to text you rather than call you. 4. Calls you late at night or early in the morning, but always the same time for XX amount of talk time. (they are calling you either on the way to or from work) 5. Cant be reached via telephone after 7pm 6. Has an excuse or emergency for being able to spend a HOLIDAY with you. 7. Always running home because they mama calling. 8. Disappears EVERY weekend 9. Emerges EVERY Monday at the same time as last Monday. 10. Will tell you just enough of a lie to keep you believing them and not enough for you to walk away. During this season, do not be deceived. Predators are looking for the lonely, the widow, the romantic at heart, to come in and swiftly destroy you, the Lord Himself says time after time, BE NOT DECEIVED.
