I have been doing alot of reflecting over these last couple months, as a youth minister I have longed to see the young people grow in the lord, live a life that reflects Jesus christ. I have seen some grow and have seen some fall but all in all there seems to be no change . I have question myself,m am I teaching good enough, am I a good leader, do I reflect jesus in my daily life? God showed me through his word this last week that has really rocked my world about leadership in the church, God expects me as a leader to stand on his word and to live by those words. Im not perfect but im expected to live a life above reproach. Eli refused to deal with his sons sinning and stealing the offerings and because of that God raised up another to take his place. You see Eli choose to turn a bli d eye to his sons and Gods power left him because of that. I have always worrried about addressing things because I know how fragile some people can be. If revival is ever going to happen then we as leaders in the church need to get back to Serving God whole hearty, and that means being the leader God has called us to be, to protect the ministry God has placed us over,( after all it is Gods ministry not ours ) he chose us to full fill it. We cant worry about what others might think or do because its all about him! He (God) is in control and he will move us out of the way if we are not managing his way. I love my youth but we have as youth leaders allowed compromise to creep into our ministry and im not doing it anymore, God wants to move in someone who is real and not fake. Where are the real christians? I ask that if your in my youth group to look in the mirror and see are you living for God. If your not please take the time to decide if your really going to live for him or not, people you cant be In any role that is perceived to be a leadership position, that includes music, drama teams, teaching or preaching or anything. No wonder people dont take God serous, one last thought if you cause someone to stumble by being fake then that persons blood is on your hands. Just my reflection and thoughts latley, but hey what do I know
