I have been fostering these two precious chiweenie babies for over - TopicsExpress

I have been fostering these two precious chiweenie babies for over 3 months now. They were rescued by a friend of mine from a lady with dementia. She had nine dogs, some ran over, most of them neglected and abused. When these two came to me they were untouchable. Nippy, biting, scared beyond belief. Would not even come out of the carrier for over a day. We had to tilt the carrier to get them out. Could not touch them or get near them. They would growl and shake. I named them Elvis and Presley because they were all shook up. I made a fake hand out of a glove and attached it to a stick. They do this for feral cats. It got them use to being touched. Each day I would move my hand up the stick. I would sit for long periods of time with them so they would get use to humans. On the 10th day, I had moved my hand all the way up the stick and with the makeshift hand at their neck line, so they could not bite me...I started touching them with my three fingers. They I gave them a Jerky Treat. It was on. They came out from under the desk and started letting me touch them. They had the worst tick infestation I had ever seen. I mean.....probebley 50 ticks on each one of them. They were traumatized beyond belief. Saw their mama get hit by a car and the lady just left her in a dog bed, not even knowing what happened. My friend came over and said saw the dog and immediately took it to the vet. She had to be put down. Long story short. I have been fostering them. If they would have gone to the shelter they would have been destroyed. As you can see by the video,....once they gain your trust....they are awesome. They love me to death, but I can not keep them. I have my own dogs and am at the legal limit. They were only suppose to stay one night, but the lady who was going to foster...backed out. They have been fixed. Are tick free. Gave them baths and frontlined them. They need someone who is patient, loving and will take the time to show them that not all people are bad. Elvis had a hernia and I paid for that to get done while they were getting fixed. They need a forever home. They tend to feed off of each others fear, so they can go separately, but would love it if they could go together. They are all each other knows, but like I said...they feed off each others fear. Elvis has a broken right canine tooth. Think he was kicked. She would hit them with her purse. Please help me find an amazing forever home for these guys. They are so adorable and such high energy. I found Chiweenie sites and am stoked because you all are aware of what an amazing breed this is. Protective, high energy, cute as all get out. PLEASE REPOST. I need to find homes ASAP for these guys. They are attached to me and will take some time to adjust, that is why it is going to take a special Chiweenie mama and papa to take them. Took me two weeks to touch them. Food it the way to their hearts too. As you can see by the video, once you gain their trust, they are all over you. They are diggers and jumpers so can not be left outside. They need to be indoor dogs and need some potty training. They never even had names and they are about 2 or 3 years old. She just called them Puppies. Please do not Private Message me on here, as I do not check that email. Post a comment and I will PM you my contact info if you are interested or know someone who is. PLEASE...PLEASE...PLEASE. THEY NEED A CHANCE AT A FOREVER HOME. THEY NEED SOCIALIZING.
