I have been going through my timeline tonight just reading old status and watching videos and came across this story of my Mom and me going through a car wash going to her sisters funeral. I have to share it again!! I hope it makes you smile! Its all true, trust me!!!!! Never forget this as long as I live. This was back in Jan 2010. Lib Libbi Perry Stuffle Does God have a sense of humor or what? It could only happen to Mom & Me! Mom and I were all ready to go the funeral home this morning before the funeral of her sister. I had Mom all decked out and looking like a queen. We were on time and doing good when we left the house. I decided to run my car thru the car wash before going to the funeral home. I paid my money, pulled the car forward til it said stop. Mom and I were sitting in the car talking while the sprayer soaped the car down. Then the automatic sprayer started rinsing the car. When it came by my window on the drivers side, I noticed water running down the window on the inside. I looked and my window was not all the way up. It had gotten stuck or something. So I wiped the window down with some tissues that Mom had. Then I pressed the button to roll the window up, but it didnt go up, it went DOWN!! Mom started yelling and I looked up and here comes the sprayer down my side of the car again! I was trying everything to get the window up and it wouldnt go up, What happened next could only happen to us, Yes the sprayer soaked us!! It was not a wimpy sprayer, it was like a hose on a fire truck! Mom was yelling, Oh gah, oh gah I am gonna drown! I quickly put the car in drive and race to get out of the stall before the sprayer came back around the front of the car. When I pulled outside and stopped, the window went up pretty as you please. The car was soaked inside, I was soaked, I looked at Mom and she was soaked. Her hair in the front was flat on her head. My hair was soaked. I looked at her and said, ok what do we do now, and she busted out laughing. I knew we didnt have time to go back home, so I called my sister who was already at the funeral home and told her to go ask the owner of the funeral who I know well, if he had a blow dryer and a round brush we could use. Then it dawned on me, ahhh do I really want to use the funeral homes brush? Not that they would have cooties, but you know just the thought. So I decided to go to Eckerds to get a blow dryer and brush. When I walked into the store, a man associate came up, looked at me with this confused looked and said, can I help you? I said yes sir, I am looking for a blow dryer and a brush. He said, you look like you have had an accident......was it the wet hair and clothes that gave it away? I said, yes sir with a car wash!! After getting the stuff and standing in line forever in front of 10 people to pay for it, I get back in the car and Mom is laughing so hard she is crying. Needless to say, all the way to the funeral home, we were laughing hysterically! We rushed into the restroom at the funeral home and I began the make over once again. I was able to get Mom almost back to looking like a human and not a wet dog. I did what I could with myself and still had time to laugh some more before the funeral. We have laughed all night about it still! Someone ask if the car wash had a camera up in it and I said I dont know, but if it did, somebody is gonna make some good money on Americas Funniest Videos! God took our hurt and broken hearts for a little while and turn it into laughter. Needless to say, this will be a memory we will never forget! Yes, the car is all dried now and I am not touching the window again until I can get it fixed. And no, I do not see a car wash in my near future! Just had to share!!
