I have been making things with hemp since 1999, and selling it for about as long. I started making mosaic candle holders in 2003, and incorporated hemp into them right away for that rustic feel and unique finishing touch. I tend to be drawn to work with mediums not many others use, so as to stand out. I use watercolor pencil to create works that have been described as Folk Art. Now, in 2014, I am getting more serious about my craft and using it to participate in community events and feel like I have something to offer. Crystal Blue Craft is now featured in FIVE Northwest Illinois locations: Baked by Liz in Morrison. Now&Zen Gallery in Mt. Carroll. Distinctive Gardens in Dixon. Rawshua Organic Market in Rock Falls. Ginkgo Tree Café / Traditional Wellness Center in Dixon. I would like to give props to all of these locally owned businesss and say THANK YOU for giving a local artist a chance to stand on her feet. Lets see what the future holds, shall we?
