I have been quiet this week for a reason and I apologize. Last week, two young men were shot and killed a short distance from my home. One of them, Matt, was a good friend to my oldest daughter and the extra kids that hang out at my home, and a supporter to Ellie. He pushed her at the Relay for Life event and helped her to get beads for her efforts the year before last. He assisted me in grocery shopping on more than one occasion when I would be pushing the wheelchair with one hand and pulling a cart behind me. THIS IS NOT A PAGE FOR ANY OF THE CONTROVERSY SURROUNDING IT AND I DONT WANT TO HEAR OR READ IT. We are in prayer for the Bohannon family and we are heartbroken right now. We are FONDLY remembering the positives of Matthew and Andrew and all the love that Matt gave to my child. A lot of tears have been shed this past week. We did take Ellie to the funeral yesterday and she went up to the boys mother and whispered I am so sorry to her and then proceeded to give her and their father pixie dust to be strong. I was so proud of Ellie yesterday. I am adding EXTRA prayers for their family member currently battling Stage 4 stomach cancer and having to deal with this stress on top of his battle. GOD BLESS THEM!
