I have been receiving some other gifts that I have neglected to post and want to take this time to correct the omission. Some of them were given to me at my frantic 2 day stay at RWA convention before I got the phone call from Kathy to come home; that Little Mamas condition was much worse, so if I get a name wrong, forgive me. Those two days and the ensuing weeks afterward are pretty much a blur. However, I want you guys to know how much it meant to me that you thought enough of me to pack gifts and then come find me at the conference to give them to me. I know for sure that Rae Pollock and her husband P.J. Pollock gave me the Painted Pony for my collection, along with a box of chocolates for my Little Mama. I know that Kay Gray James gave me the four square wolf hanging and her friend Elaine Howell also gave me the Texas key ring and Christmas ornament as a memento of the convention. Wolves are my totem, so I love this a lot. Hattie Mae gave me the storyteller doll, which is wonderful, because I AM a storyteller, too. Ellen Graham Wulf (I think) is the talented lady who made the copper bead necklace and earrings, which Kathy has coveted greatly ever since she laid eyes on them. Redheads love copper jewelry. LOL And, I THINK Monica Molpus is the sweetheart who gave me the wind chime, which by the way I have yet to hang outside because ever so often a passing spirit feels the need to give it a jiggle and I can hear that chime at almost any time of the day or night, no matter what room Im in, if they are so inclined. LOL And, I received the two antique items in the mail a few weeks ago from Maja Glarke, all the way from Sweden. The iron eagle was made around 1920-1925 and was, at the time in that country, a symbol for money and freedom. The little hand-carved wooden horse was made about 70 years ago in one of the small villages around Mora, which she says is a famous town in Sweden. She said he was made long before the Dala Horse became a well-known tourist symbol for Sweden. She said they are normally red, and was excited when she found a rare white one for me. You all know that I connect my Bobby with eagles and horses, so the thoughtfulness of those gifts was special. I hope I havent missed anyone. If I have, know that I love you much for thinking of me.
