I have been upsetting a number of folks lately .... Heres another Even if you reject Jesus you are still holy and eventually will be saved!! Case study: Israel The Israelites that rejected Jesus are still holy and will eventually be saved even though they are dead! Romans 11:7 What then? Israel failed to obtain what it was seeking. The elect obtained it, but the rest were hardened, 1. 2 groups in Israel of Jesus day. The elect and the hardened rest. Romans 11 16 If the dough offered as firstfruits is holy, so is the WHOLE lump, and if the root is holy, so are the branches. 17 But if some of the branches were broken off, 2. The broken off branches of Israel those hardened are still holy!!! They came from the whole lump and it is all holy!!! But theres more ... 3. To be holy means to belong to God. Now look .., Romans 11 25 I do not want you to be unaware of this mystery, brothers: a partial hardening has come upon Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. 26 And in this way ALL Israel will be saved, 4. The hardened, broken off Israelites are still HOLY they belong to God and so will still be saved! Why? Romans 11:28 For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. 5. Gods gift of salvation and his calling of Israel cannot be taken away!! What about faith? Romans 11:19 And even they, if they do not continue in their unbelief, will be grafted in, for God has the power to graft them in again. 6. They must deal with unbelief and come to faith in Jesus to be saved and given they ALL will be saved then they all must and will come to faith. But hang on ... They all died in unbelief. Many Israelites have died without accepting Jesus. But yet they will all be saved ... And must come to faith after death!! Unbelief must be dealt with according to Paul and after this they will be grafted back in!!! Bingo!! Since all must come to faith to be saved and since they died in unbelief and since all will be saved ... This means that Paul knew that all Israel Would and will come to faith after death!! There is no other conclusion. Unbelief must be dealt with before a person can be saved!! They died in unbelief and they must come to faith. Join the dots ... When will Israel come to faith? Romans 11 26 all Israel will be saved, as it is written, The Deliverer will come from Zion, he will banish ungodliness from Jacob; 27 and this will be my covenant with them when I take away their sins. Yee hah!!! Jesus will return again! When he does he will bring all Israel to faith then. But they are dead? The resurrection takes place when Jesus returns. John 5:28-29; 1 Cor 15:51-54; 1 thes 5:14-18 So you can and will be able to come to faith in Jesus after you die! How else can all Israel be saved if they died in unbelief but must come to faith?
